PADEL or PADDLE, THE INTERNATIONAL GAME History: Invented in Mexico in 1968. Spread to Spain and then Argentina and many other countries. Padel is now being introduced into the U.S. and Canada. The Game: Padel is played in warm weather. Padel is played in doubles and a match consists of two to three sets. Two serves are allowed, and the ball may be played off of the walls. The Court: The game is played in a playing area which is 65'7"x32'9", on a court with a net, surrounded by walls of tempered glass. The Ball: The ball is much like a tennis ball but with a heavier nap The Paddle: Graphite, 17 3/4" in length by 10 1/4' wide.
